Terms of use
Absolute Cinema · Last updated 18 October 2026
Absolute Cinema lets you rank the movies you love, play tournaments between them and compare your taste with friends. By creating an account or using the app you agree to these terms and to our privacy policy. Absolute Cinema is run by Agrisol Schoeman Precision Services (Pty) Ltd. Questions go to hello@rbdk.uk.
Your account
You need to be at least 13 to use Absolute Cinema. You're responsible for what happens on your account, so keep your sign-in to yourself. You can delete your account at any time in Profile → Delete account.
No tolerance for objectionable content or abuse
Other people see your display name, your ranking and your ratings. There is no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. You agree not to:
- use a display name that is offensive, hateful, sexual, threatening or that pretends to be someone else;
- harass, bully, threaten or abuse anyone, or encourage anyone to harm themselves;
- use the app for anything illegal, to spam people, or to get round blocks;
- try to break, overload or get unauthorised access to the app or other people's accounts.
Display names are checked automatically, and names that look offensive are refused.
Blocking and reporting
You can block anyone from their page (Block): you stop being friends and they can't add you again. You can report anyone the same way (Report), or by emailing hello@rbdk.uk. We review every report within 24 hours. We remove content that breaks these terms and suspend or delete the accounts of people who post it.
Movie information
Movie titles, posters and details come from The Movie Database (TMDB). This product uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB. Movie posters and titles belong to their owners.
The app itself
We work to keep Absolute Cinema running and your list safe, but the app is provided as it is, without guarantees that it will always be available or free of mistakes. As far as the law allows, we aren't liable for losses from using it. We may change or stop features, and we may suspend accounts that break these terms. If you got the app from the App Store, Apple's Standard End User Licence Agreement applies too.
Changes
If these terms change, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Using the app after a change means you accept the new terms.
